Privacy policy

Effective 1 November 2026

Reveille does not collect any data. Your Apple Health data is read on your iPhone, processed on your iPhone and stored only on your iPhone. We never see it. It is never sold, never shared with anyone, never used for advertising or marketing, and never stored in iCloud.

This policy covers the Reveille app for iPhone and this website, reveillewatch.com. Both are operated by Summit Veil LLC ("we", "us").

What the app reads from Apple Health

With your permission, Reveille reads these types from Apple Health:

• Sleep analysis
• Heart rate variability
• Resting heart rate and heart rate
• Respiratory rate
• Wrist temperature during sleep
• Blood oxygen
• Workouts and active energy
• Date of birth, of which only the year is used, to estimate your maximum heart rate for training load

You choose which types to allow in the Apple Health permission screen, and you can change that at any time in the Settings app under Health, Data Access and Devices. Reveille also has per-type switches in its own Settings. Reveille never writes anything to Apple Health.

How Health data is used

Reveille uses Health data for one purpose: to compute your morning reading, its explanation, your history and your widgets, on your iPhone. A copy of the values it needs is kept in a local database on the phone that is never synced to iCloud or any other service.

Health data is not used for advertising, marketing or data mining, is not sold, and is not disclosed to any third party, including data brokers and advertising platforms.

What the app stores on your phone

• The local copy of Health values described above, and the readings computed from them.
• Things you enter: night tags, custom tag names, sleep need, weights and other settings.
• Simple counts of your readings by band and confidence, shown in Settings under Your stats. These are never uploaded.

All of this stays on the device. Widgets and Siri read it from storage shared on the same phone.

What leaves your phone

Nothing, unless you send it. The app makes no network requests, has no account, and contains no analytics, advertising or crash-reporting code.

• Export. If you use Export in Settings, Reveille creates a CSV or JSON file and opens the iOS share sheet. Where that file goes is your choice, and it is handled by the app or service you pick.
• Notifications. The optional morning notification and overnight-pattern note are scheduled locally on your phone. They are not sent from a server.
• Apple. Apple may provide us with aggregated, anonymous App Store and app analytics if you have chosen to share them with developers in iOS settings. This is controlled by Apple and by your settings, not by Reveille.

iCloud sync

Version 1.0 does not sync anything. A later version may offer optional iCloud sync of tags and settings, off by default. Health data will never be part of it. If that changes what this policy says, we will update it before the feature ships.

Deleting your data

In Reveille, go to Settings and choose Delete all Reveille data. This removes the app's local stores and settings. Deleting the app also removes everything it stored. Neither touches the data in Apple Health.

This website

reveillewatch.com sets no cookies of its own and uses no analytics and no third-party scripts. It is hosted by Cloudflare, which may set a short-lived security cookie if it needs to check that a request is not automated. Cloudflare, which processes standard request information such as IP address, browser type and the page requested in order to serve the site and protect it from abuse. We do not use that information to identify you.

If you email us, we use your message and address only to reply, and we delete support email when it is no longer needed.

Children

Reveille is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone, of any age.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version will be posted here with a new effective date. If a change affects how the app handles data, it will be described in the app's release notes.
