Which Watches work?
Any Apple Watch that records sleep stages and heart rate variability: Series 4 and later, SE and every Ultra, on watchOS 9 or later. Wrist temperature is used on Series 8 and later and on Ultra. Without it, the other inputs carry its weight and the reading still works.
Why does a night have no reading?
Reveille needs a night of sleep recorded by your Watch. Check that Sleep tracking is on in the Watch app on your iPhone, that you wore the Watch to bed with enough charge, and that Reveille is allowed to read Sleep in the Settings app under Health, Data Access and Devices. In the first week the reading is labelled provisional while Reveille learns your baseline.
Why is confidence Medium on my older Watch?
Older Watches often record only one or two HRV samples a night, or none. Reveille still produces a reading from the other inputs, but marks it Medium or Low because less of it is backed by data. Wearing the Watch snugly and turning on the Sleep Focus usually gives the Watch more chances to sample.
How do I reset my baseline?
In Reveille, open Settings and choose Reset baseline from today. Earlier nights stay in your history but stop counting towards the baseline. This is useful after a new Watch, an illness or a pregnancy. The baseline matures again over the following weeks.
Does Reveille upload my data?
No. Everything stays on your iPhone. See the privacy policy.
